PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION
At the annual meeting of the combined local committee and parent group of the Pre-school Educational Centre, Mr Charles V, Smith occupied the chair. The following officebearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs L. Fisher; secretary, Mrs C. Brown; treasurer, Mrs P. M. Law; committee—Mesdames H. Doolman, G. W. Lane, C. V. Smith, L. M. Wright, A. T. Hart, M. Herrick, L. Manning, and L. Malcolm. Dr Helen Deem (medical advisor) and Miss E. S. Hamilton (director of the Pre-school Centre) spoke on the health and the education of the preschool child, both stressing the necessity for co-operation between the parents and the pre-school.
