SHOOTING AT ROXBURGH

ORGHARDIST INJURED CHARGE AGAINST TRUCK DRIVER Investigations made' by the police during the week-end into an incident at Roxburgh, when a man was admitted to the Roxburgh Hospital with gunshot wounds that are not of a serious nature, resulted in an arrest being made. At a special sitting of tne court at Roxburgh this morning, Maxmillian Harliwich, a truck driver, who resides in the district, was charged before Mr G. N. Jeffrey, J.P.,.and Mr J. H. Waigth, J.P., with discharging a loaded firearm at James Williamson, orchardist, of Roxburgh, with intent to do grievous bodily harm. A remand until March 20 was granted, and bail of £SO was allowed accused, with a surety of the same amount.

The investigations into the affair were carried out by Detective-sergeant J. Gibson, of Dunedin, and Constable Crawford,'of Roxburgh.
