THE MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE
AUSTRALIAN LEADER REPORTS PROGRESS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, November 3. In a broadcast address to-night the' leader of the Australian delegation, Hon. F. M. Forde, who. is Deputy Prime Minister of Australia and Minister for the Army, said the conferences were proceeding most satisfactorily and in a spirit of complete co-ordination and understanding. The same .friendly atmosphere that had always characterised the relationships between both countries had prevailed at these talks. Mr Forde added. The following official statement was issued to-night:—" The Australian-New Zealand Conference resumed at 10.30 a.m. today and considered reports from committees on a number of matters including the establishment of a general international security organisation, Pacific questions, the promotion of international, social welfare. and the advancement of economic relations between the two countries. When the conference adjourned at mid-day substantial agreement had been reached on al) points. It is expected the conference will conclude with 'a final session on Monday."
