TOKIO'S FEARS
CHILDREN EVACUATING CAPITAL (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 12. Approximately 30,000 school children have been evacuated from Tokio since Saturday as an air raid precaution, stated Tokio official radio. So far third to sixth grade children have been evacuated from important cities throughout Japan. The broadcast emphasised that the evacuation was not compulsory, but was being encouraged.
