TRENTHAM TRIALS (Special.) WELLINGTON, July 13. Although the weather has improved, the track at Treutham was still heavy. Nevertheless, there was full work this morning, the four tracks being in operation. Foxhaven, one of tho favourites for the Parliamentary Handicap, gave Paladeo a break of several lengths on the trial grass (which was ivell cut up) ta be a handy pacemaker at the post, running the last half-mile in 53sec. Broiveine was doing it nicely ahead of Abdicate at the end of half a mile, done in 52 2-5. .

Platform, Peter's Choice, and Tring ran a mile on the two-year-old track, being picked up by Boloyna, and tho last-named was first home, with Peter's Choice close and Tring handy. The full distance took 1.50, the first half 53sec. On the same track Greeufeast shaded Moko at the end of a mile in 1.54, the first half-mile taking 58 2-5. Foxchase ran right away from Kinsman at the end of six furlongs, done in 1.19 2-5, the first two furlongs taking 2G 1-5.

Regal Night and Epping ran an easy half-mill in 57 4-5.. Authoress and Alienate covered o milo in 1.59, both going nicely. Royal Flight ran a solid six furlongs, coming home over the last half-mile in 54sec in easy fashion. Hippodrome and Some Sing completed the last half-milo of five furlongs in 53 2-osec. Whackie and Duality, keeping close to the trestles, ran a smart five furlongs in 1.3 1-5. Good Friend went nicely with Amorlad over half a mile in 55sec. Martial Note was a neck in front of Desert Victory, with Casilda a length off. at the end of half a mile, with Battlo Royal further back. Sir Bradbury slipped over six furlongs in good style, but was not timed. On the plough, Foxsen was clear of Classic at the end of seven fin-longs, and Poutatau ran half a mile ki 52 1-5. On the same track, (Benevc and Lady Midian were on terms at tha end of half a mile, taking 56sec. Walk Off finished better than Note ißaid over three furlongs in 39 2-ssec. Hard Frost and Noble Fox were jumped out on the oval, the latter hitting the third fence hard to throw his rider. Hard Frost went on to complete another brace. Later the pair ran half a, mile on the trial grass in The Auckland contingent arrived by boat last night, having been aboard since Sunday afternoon. Erndale looked none the worse this morning, but Skyetto is reported to have suffered on the trip. It is uncertain which race Erndale will contest. If tho Winter Hurdles, he will be ridden by L. C. Brown, and S. Green will have the mount if he runs in the Parliamentary. Mr W. E. Hazlett stated this morning that both Noko and True Range will.run in the Steeples. The former will be ridden bv R. Beale and the latter by T. J. Boyle. Khurja was scratched at 4.45 p.m. yesterday. Kanui te Pai is viewed as a doubtful runner.
