TOULON NAVAL BASE

BOMBED BY AMERICAN LIBERATORS (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, July 11. A Rome correspondent says Fifteenth United States Air Force Liberators, escorted by Mustangs, attacked naval installations at Toulon. The crews reported good pattern bombing on tho target area. There was heavy anti-aircraft fire, but no enemy planes were seen. Toulon was last attacked on July 5, when extensive damage w.as reported.
