KAIAPOI PILOT AWARDED D.S.O. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 12. Although his aircraft was on fire and the flames were reaching dangerout proportions and were making his machine a clear target for the enemy ground defences, Acting Squadronleader Harold Wright Heney, R.N.Z.A.F.', of Kaiapoi, the pilot of an aircraft participating in an attack on Dortmund, finished his bombing run before turning for home. He has been awarded the Distinguished Service Order. Heney has since been posted as missing on operations.
