" BILLY " HUGHES'S RECORD (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, July 12. The Rt. Hon. W. M. Hughes, " father of the Federal Parliament," will complete his fiftieth year as a parliamentarian next week. Arrangements for a dinner in his honour are being made by Mr Ourtin. Now in his eightieth year, Mr Hughes, at the age of 30, won a seat in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He was Australia's Prime Minister during most of the last war.
