REBELLIOUS GROUP SEIZES PRESIDENT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, July 10, A message from Bogota, Colombia, states that the Vice-president, Dr Eehandia, announced that he had assumed the Acting Presidency because a rebellious group of army officers seized the President, Dr Alfonso Lopez, and several Cabinet Ministers while they were witnessing army manoeuvres at Pasto. in Southern Colombia Dr Eehandia described the rebellion as "an act of individual madness " by subversive Lieutenant-colonel Diogenes Dil, who proclaimed himself President. He added that the majority of the people, and the army favoured Dr Lopez.
