VETERAN ALLIED BOMBER ' RUGBY, May 9. " Mild and Bitter " a veteran Ninth Air Force Marauder, named after one of England's favourite drinks, rolled down the rmrway on Monday night after her 100th bombing mission—a riew bombing record for British-based bombers operating over the Continent. *■ In her 100 operations she has flown more than 440 hours (more than 300 in combat), travelled approximately 58,000 miles, and carried 166 men into battle, not one of whom has been • injured during her flights.
