HARRIERS
The results of mile maiden races held by harrier clubs on Saturday were as follows: —Leith: F. Perry (7sec) 1, L. Donaldson (20sec) 2, C. Cameron (scr) 3; time, smin 56sec. Mornington: Maiden—W. Barkinan 1. G: Greig (fastest time) 2, G. Benjamin 3; open—K. Turner (fastest time) 1, H. Beveridge 2, O, Moore 3. Celtic United: K. Cull 1, J. Pettit 2, J. Andrews 3, Caversham ran from Rythill street. The run home resulted: —Slow pack: D. Mc'Dou-°-all 1. K. Knox 2. Fast pack: G. L ; Austin 1, J. Cook 2. St. Kilda held its run from the bathing pavilion at St. Kilda. The fast pack ran to Tomahawk and to the approaches to the Peninsula . Memorial, negotiating much in the way of bogs and slush. The run home resulted: M. Spain 1, G. Brialey 2. The slow pack's run home resulted: Don Oddie 1. J. Morris 2. Basil Hilder 3. Colts: T«mpleton 1, D. Seammell 2. Civil Service ran from North-east Valley School. The fast pack ran up Signal Hill. across the paddocks to the Brown House. In the run home M. Mackinnon led W. Simpson and M. Bradshaw. The slow pack ran to Pine Hill. No run home was held, but W. Godby, M. Kelly, and W. Paterson were prominent throughout.
