SWIMMING
A.T.C. CHAMPIONSHIPS
Cromwell, Roxburgh, Balclutha, Milton, Alexandra, Palmerston, and the town units were represented in the annual swimming championships of the Air Training Corps, which were held in the Municipal Baths on Saturday night. The standard of swimming was generally higher than in previous annual competitions held by the A.T.C. The Cadbury Fry Hudson Cup was presented to Balclutha, the winning unit, by Flight-lieu-tenant C. W. Gillies, commander of the Dunedin wing. The following were the results:— 66 2-3 Yards Open Breast Stroke Championship.—L. Tyo (Balclutha) 1, Willers (Dunedin 30) 2, MeKenzie (Dunedin 30) 3. Time, 57 4-ssec. 33 1-3 Yards Novice Free Stylo Championship.—McMillan (0.8.H.5.) 1, Keena (0.8.H.5.) 2, Walkinshaw (Dunedin 5) 3. Time, 21 3-ssec. 14 Yards Learners' Breast Stroke Championship.—Li ttlejohn (Milton) 1, Waldroii (Alexandra) 2, Waters (Alexandra) 3. Time, 10 l-s;ec. 66 2-3 Yards Open Free Style Championship. Wallace (King's 1, McMillan (0.8.H.5.) 2, Tyo (Balclutha) 3. Time. 47 2-ssec. 33 1-3 Yards Novice Breast Stroke Championship.—Keane (0.8.H.5.) 1, S'atterthwaite (Dunedin 5) 2. Stringer (Alexandra) 3. Time, 27sec. 14 Yards Learners' Free Style Championship.—Shields (Balclutha) 1, Fraser (King's) 2. Dillon (Dunedin 5) 3. Time. 8 l-ssec. Open Diving Championship.—Peterson (Balclutha) 1, Patersou (Christian Brothers) and R.
