RED AIR FORGE BAGS 62 PLANES IN DAY
REPORTED CLASHES BETWEEN RUMANIANGERMAN ALLIES
(Rec. 8 a.m ) LONDON, May 7. A Russian commiunique states that no important changes occurred on the fronts yesterday. The Russians shotdown 62 enemy" planes on Friday. The Red air force on Thursday continued to strike against enemy ships in the Black Sea, sank a 3,000-ton transport and two patrol boats, and seriously damaged two other transports. The motor torpedo boats of the Black Sea fleet routed a convoy west of Sebastopol. They torpedoed and sank three enemy transports totalling 7,000 tons, besides two fast landing barges. A, supplementary communique reports that Soviet forces repelled a German attempt to improve their positions south-east of Stanislawow. Rumanian officers and men taken prisoner, or deserting to the Russians, report that relations between thu Rumanians and Germans have sharply deteriorated recently, and that armed clashes have occurred on several sectors. Berlin radio claims that Hungarian troops have occupied Pistyn.
