JAPAN SHOWS DANGER OF UNDERPOPULATIOH (Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 7. Commenting on Mr Eraser's statement that the migration of industrial workers to New; Zealand would be desirable, the ' Daily Mail,' an an editorial, says: "Such a statement a few vears would' have been incredible. An industrial person was the last man the dominions wanted. They were between two war,s and had enough out-of-works of their own, but Japan has shocked the overseas Governments into a realisation of their grave iinderrpopultttion. The immigrant has again become desirable,' as he used to be." Discussing tjie desire of thousands of British fighting men to make their future in the dominions after the war, the 'Daily MMI ' says: "It is clear that successful! migration depends on a sane economic jpolicy. Migration must be planned and regulated, hateful though the idea may be.
