ADVICE AND NEWS FOR RELATIVES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 6. The Prisoners of War Inquiry Office advises that during the week notifications concerning the transfer of another 88 prisoners from Italy to Germany have come to hand, leaving a balance of 458 to be accounted for. There have been approximately 115 cases where next of kin have received a communication from their prisoner relative giving a German prisoner of war camp address before official advice concerning the transfer has been received, and a certain percentage of these should be taken from the balance not yet accounted for.

To avoid possible loss or delay in the delivery of snapshots or unmounted photographs (which must not be larger than post card, size)' addressed to prisoners of war-it is essential that the name and address of the prisoner concerned, aad that of the sender, be printed clearly ou the back. A cable has been received from London concerning 'information received iu a card written by a prisoner at Oflag V.A. The card,was dated February 18, and stated that as a mild winter was experienced, their fears were needless; also that a second German blanket had been issued, and there was ample Red Cross clothing supplied. Food parcels, mostly., from Canada and New Zealand, and sufficient to'meet their needs for months to come, were in stock at the camp, and next of kin quarterly parcels posted in New Zealand during June and July were arriving. ,
