Eleven New Zealanders, either members of the R.A.F. or. the R.N.Z.A.F., serving on active aerial service overseas, are named in the New Year honours list, details of which have been received from London by the Air Department, Wellington. Acting Squadron-leader Rex Donald Daniell (R.A.F.); father, Mr F. C. Daniell, Masterton. Acting Squadron-leader Walter Desmond Heaphy (R.A.F.); father, Mr P.. C. Heaphv, Greymouth. Acting bquadronleader'lloy Alexander Leslie (R.A.1.); mother, Mrs M. R. Leslie, Waitara.. Warrant-officer Howard William Player (R.N.Z.A.F.); wife, Mrs H. W. Player, Wellington. Acting Squadronleader Maurice Craig Kinder (R.A.F.,1; mother. Mrs H. M. Kinder, Auckland. The following are listed, as having received commendation for their services :-_Flight-lieutenant Charles William Halliwell Thomson (R.A.F.); father, Mr P. Thomson, Stratford. L'.ly-im'-officer Wallace Russell King (RN.Z.A.F.); father, Mr J. King, le Kuiti. Flying-officer Hilton James Valentine Atkins (R.N.Z.A.F.); sister, Mrs G. J. Barbour, Timaru. McKee and Moir were pre-war entrants iuto the R.A.F.
