PRESBYTERIAN ASSOCIATION Mr T. Somerville presided over the monthly meeting of the Presbyterian Social Service Association Mr T. C. Moss submitted the report of , the matron of Ross Home, in which it was'stated that there were 41 women and 22 men in residence, of which number nine women and two men were in the sick wards. The general 'health of the residents was stated to be fairly good. . Mr 11. L. Faii-maid, convener, submitted the report of the manager, Mr W. C. Roberts, who stated that there had been no cases of sickness in the children's homes during the ' month. The children had enjoyed good health The numbers in residence at the Glenclinin:i Home at Anderson's Bay at present were as follows:—-Cameron !) girls. ft bov's: Xisbet S girls, o boys; Somerville. 13 girls. 2 hoys: Glendining. 26 boys—a total of 69 Eighteen were in the honie at Lawrence, and two younger eliildren werp boarded out. Arrangements were completed for the Glendining Homes be>'i<i closed duriii" the holiday period. Different frictions had been arranger! for the children ot the Chris'tnia* period, ft was reported that the response to the Christmas cheer appeal this year had been particularly cratif.ving, Practically all the Sunday school? in Otago were supporting the appeal, and the amounts to hand indicated that a record gift would probably be estnhlished.
