N.Z. BEATS R.A.A.F. (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent.) (lice. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 25. The Now Zealand Services had no difficulty in defeating the R.A.A.F. by 15-3. but the latter, with a scratch team, played well, especially in defence. The New Zealanders led at half-time by 6-0. A. J. Cooper (West Coast) and I. Kilgour (King Country) scoring. Cooper was injured, and at the end of the first half was replaced by M. K. Bond (Auckland). .]. W. Gordon (Canterbury) and Kilgour scored again, and T. A. Dance (Wellington) kicked a penalty. The R.A.A.F got a runaway try in the last minute. A greasy ball and a soggy ground handicapped the game from becoming as bright as it might have been. 1 H. Dustin (Palmerstoii North) and C. J. Phelps (Wellington) were outstanding forwards, Dustin being selected to play for the R.A.F. ncai'ist the Armv next Saturday. C. N\ Hewitt (Auckland) at half and R. Veitch (Wellington) at first fiveeighth played well. Dance gave an excellent exhibition of kicking at fullback. The other members of the team were 10. Grant (Gisborne). G. Brown (Mastertou).' A. X. Laurence (Hawera), F. W. Crist (Auckland). T. Blomfield (Auckland). H. Sturrock (Canterbury), A. T Kofoed (Taranaki).
