JAP. TARGETS IN BURMA

(Ulec. 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 24. In Burma enemy troap positions wer# the principal targets of the R.A.F, on Saturday, when attacks were carried out by dive-bombers, fighter-bombers, and fighters, says an India communique. In Arakan Vengeances, dire-bombed Buthidaung and an enemy-occupied village near try, dropping all the bombs in the target area. In the Chin Hills Vengeances attacked an enemy-occupied village in the Kalerayo sector and started fires, of which the smoke-'war visible 30 miles away. Further south fighters attacked groups of army huts along the Taungup Pass road, setting a number on fire.

On Friday in operations already reported Mohawks attacked Kalemyo and a Japanese, village with bombs and ma-chine-gun fire. From all these opera- 1 tions none of our aircraft are missing.
