ORKNEY AND SHETLAND SOCIETY

The Orkney and Shetland Society held * special, social last :Saturday, when all members were the guests/ of the society, and were also,invited to bring friends. The president (Mr G. R'. Borwick) gave a short address on the aims and aspirations of the society, which was started 15 years ago, and; in referring;to- = : the. large number of men and women from the islands now on active service, . stressed the need for the older people to keep-the flag flying till their return. ■ The patron (Mr Stevenson) made some inspiring,' remarks.
