ANNUAL MEETIKG At the- annual meeting of the Dunedin Builders' i Association, held on Thursday evening, Mr F. L. Lawrencepresided over an exceptionally ..large and .representative attendance of, members. The annual report, which fully'.! reviewed the activities of the past year, expressed.satisfaction,that eo" far as ..the state of the, war was concerned, the association, met under much happier circumstances than those which prevailed "a..year ago. There' had- beea a greatly-increased' demand upon: the. building industry to carry out works regarded by the authorities .'as' being" essential to the defence and., well-being 61 the' country, and the ..response 1 by .members had been such as to-justifiably: afford soirie pride in the efforts' which the association as a whole had put forward.. ."' . . The balance'sheet disclosed a satisfactory financial 'position,;and it and the annual report were adopted; ■ • The officers, elected for the ensuing year were:—President, Mr G. P. Booth; vicepresidents, Messrs"D. A. Swarih and G. Simpson; committee—Messrs G, T. Collier, W. Ellis, Gi Glue, H. Griffiths; A.' McLaren, W: McLellan,-and'W.- H.
