ATLANTIC ROUTE HOME
AXIS FIGHTERS CONFUSED (Rec. 1.30 jp.iu.) LONDON, July 13. " The wide Atlantic detour by which the Turin raiders are helieved to have returned to Britain provided a third route by which Axis lighters are confused,"' says Keuter's aviation writer. " Sometimes bombers fly on to African bases and others return over various routes over France. Thus Axis fighters waiting to engage returning bombers are unable accurately to anticipate the route."
Thirteen bombers are missing' from the raid. To-day's Italian communique says considerable damage was done in Turin. Some 101 people were killed and 203-in-jured.
