—Ministerial. — The Minister of Agriculture (Hon. J. G. Barclay), who. arrived in Dunedin on Saturday, was engaged -- during the afternoon at a conference dealing with the rabbit pest. In the evening he received a.number of deputations. The Minister left for the south this morning. Mr. A. C. Cameron returned on Saturday frsm Christchurch*. ; -,. Mr J. A. Peat. Dominion vice-presi-dent of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association, left for lnvercargill last night. Messrs C. M. Woodward (secretary). J. B. Haig, It. Turnbull. and T. E. Pitts went south this morning.* Mr P. A. Smithells. superintendent of physical education, for New Zealand, left last night for Oamaru on his way to Wellington. Inspector W. E. Packer, of the Central Police Station, who has been transferred to Christchurch. left for the north on Saturday. His successor. Inspector E. T. C. Turner,, of Christchurch, will take up his duties on Thursday. ;
