OBITUARY
MRS A. J. CRAWFORD
The death occurred yesterday of Mrs A. J. Crawford, of St. Andrew street. The late Mr William Crawford established a store in St. Andrew street more than 30 years ago, and from a small beginning it soon became a large and popular business establishment. On the death of Mr Crawford in 1924, Mrs Crawford carried on the business with the assistance of her two daughters! A few years ago they added to the business by erecting the building known as the Crawford Lounge. Mrs Crawford had endeared herself to many by her quiet and sympathetic nature and by her practical help to those in need. She is survived bv two 'daughters —Mrs A. Shearer and Mrs R. Farquharson. -
