Thwaites, Dominion president of the Second N.Z.E.F. Association, stated last night that in September, 1941, he made the offer to the Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin branches as well as the Dominion president. The Second N.Z.E.F. Association was at all times willing to cooperate, but even now the statement of the Dominion executive of the R.S.A. did not indicate a similar desire on the part of that body. From the start of the war until the Second N.Z.E.F. Association was formed, not one change had been made in the antiquated regulations govering returned men, said Mr Thwaites. Since it commenced operations many injustices had been ameliorated, but the niajor task was still ahead, and the Second N.Z.E.F.
