MAKE YOUR OWN CUSTARD SQUARES
Custard Squares are always a- popular pastry delight, and yet can be easily made at home with-the assistance or Fether-Flake. Fether-Flake has enabled thousands of women to become pastry perfect and to greatly enlarge their’culinary abilities, apart from the saving in time and money. Here is a recipe foi Custard Squares: bib Fether-Flake Pastry. Roll out thinly divide in two, and bake pale brown. When cold put custard filling between and dust top with Icing Sugar. Custard Filling. 2 breakfast cup milk, 2 level tablespoons flour, 2 level tablespoons sugar, 1 yolk. of egg, 1 tablespoon butter, essence of vanilla. Mix flour smoothly in milk. Put into double saucepan add sugar, butter, and yolk of egg .Cook until thick, when cold add 2 tablespoons whipped cream. Fether-Flake is puff pastry perfectly mixed and ready to roll out, and is obtainable at all Ernest Adams’ Cake Shops and Agencies at lOd lb.—[Advt.]
