TIME BOMB FOUND
SABOTAGE CHARGE AGAINST FACTORY EMPLOYEE NEWARK (New Jersey); Sept. 8. The discovery of a powerful time bomb at Western Electric’s vast plant was disclosed with the arrest by the Federal Bureau of Investigation of an employee, Bernard Joseph O’Donnell; who was supposed to have found the bomb. He has been charged with attempted sabotage. The accused protested that be made the bomb and planted it to demonstrate that it could bo done. • 'l'he Federal Bureau of Investigation stated that the bomb was set to explode at 11 p.m. on Sunday, but at 10.4’J p.m. it was handed to the company guards. Had the bomb exploded it could have killed 100 persons.
