OCCUPIED ISLANDS
MISSIONARIES STAY AT THEIR POSTS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 31. The Loudon Society’s missionaries id the Gilbert Islands, the Revs. G. H.Eastman and A. L. Sadd, have elected to stay amongst their people during the Japanese occupation. Mrs Eastman and Miss Pateman have been evacuated,; and the Rev. and Mrs J. H. Spivey who have been on furlough, have noti yet returned, and will, no doubt, re* main in Australia.
