OBITUARY
MR W. R. KINGSTOK-SMITH (F.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. The death occurred suddenly yesterday of Mr AV. It. Kingston-Smith, for several years editor of the New Zealand 1 Financial Times,’ and also circulation manager of the ‘ Farmers’ ■Weekly.’ Latterly he had been a member of the staff of the National Broadcasting Service. lie was a frequent lecturer for the W.E.A. on international affairs. He was 39 years old, MR T. B. GARRICK (F.A.) . TIAIARU. Nov. 28. After a serious illness the death occurred early to-day of Mr T. B. Garrick, a prominent sheep farmer, of Totara Valley. He was elected to the Levels County Council in 1904, and had been ehairnian since 1924; elected to the Tiniaru Harbour Board iu 1919, and chairman from 1935 to 1937. He was a member of the No. 15 District Highways Council since its inception, and was a director of the Canterbury Farmers’ Co-operative Association Ltd. for in an y years. Mr Garrick was unmarried.
