ANDERSON'S BAY SCHOOL
EX-PUPILS' REUNION The fourteenth reunion and annual meeting of the Anderson’s Bay Public School Expupils’ Association was held on Saturday night. Mr <T. C. H. Somerville (president of" the association) occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance .of cx-pupils and friends. The pupils of Form 11. were present as the guests of the association, Mr Somerville extended a welcome to those present. He also referred to the death during the year of several ex-pupils and former teachers'. A motion of sympathy was-car-ried in silence. - The secretary (Mrs J. J. Hinchcliff) read numerous messages of greeting from various ex-pupils, and presented the annual report and balance sheet.—-Moving their adoption, Mr Somerville referred to the good work done by the committee during tho year. Seventy-five parcels have been posted this year to ex-pupils serving with the forces. Mr R. L. Luke seconded the motion, which was carried without discussion. Bouquets were presented to some of the oldest expupils and residents. All the present office-bearers and committee were re-elected. At the conclusion of tho formal business the pupils of Form 11. gave two musical items. A play entitled ' The Lady Specialist ’ was presented by Mesdames H. Ross and J. J. Hinchcliff, Misses M. Bcgg and A. Bishop, and Mr R. Luke. After supper dancing concluded the evening. A special reunion service was hold in the Anderson’s Bay Fresbytcriau Church last evening, when the Rt. Rev. G. H. Jupp was the preacher. Readings were taken by Mr R. L. Luke and Mr"\V. Somerville, and the choir rendered the anthem ‘ Open the Gales of (Tie Temple/ The organist was Mr H. Ashworth.
