AUSTRALIAN SOCIETY
Large bowls of golden wattle gave the Strand Salon an Australian atmosphere last Saturday night, when the members of the society met for the September social. Mr A. A. Paape received the guests, and a very happy evening was spent in dancing, with Mr H. Leith as M.C., and Mrs E. Clayton supplying the music for dancing. During the. evening Miss Darracott entertained the gu.ots with delightful vocal numbers, Mrs_ E. Chandler playing her accompaniments. A Monte Carlo was won by Mr and Mrs J. Cunningham. During smpper interval, Mr H. Leith thanked all who had helped to make the evening enjoyable. A short community sing followed, ably conducted by Mr W. Mathers.
