OIL EXPROPRIATION
UNITED STATES AND MEXICO Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright (Re. 8 a.in.) SffiXICO CITY. Oct. 3. It is authoritatively stated that an accord between the United States and Mexico is being; signed on October 9 whereby it is hoped to pave the way for final liquidation of the oil expropriation controversy. It provides that Mexico should pay 9,000,000 dollars in cash to the American companies, leaving final valuation and payment for future discussion. It also provides an agreement on United States silver purchases and stabilisation of the peso.
