Daily Intercession
FOR OUR SAILORS AND AIRMEN. Almighty God, Who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth and of them that are far off upon the sea, ice implore Thy favour and protection for the officers and men of our navies, mercantile marine, and airmen, who are guarding our shores, conveying the sinews of war, fighting our battles. Let Thine everlasting arms be underneath and around them. Be with them in the silent ivatches of the night, and the strenuous business of the day. Shield them amid all perils of land and sea and air. Deliver them from temptation, give them inward peace, and grant that when they have passed through the battles and storms of life they may come to the land of everlasting rest; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
