PRACTICE FRE CHAMPIONSHIPS The Dunedin Gun ( lull’s shoot was held on Saturday afternoon in order to give members some practice for the South Island championships, which will be held mi the club’s grounds on October 3 and 4. In (lie first match, a 15-bird handicap " down tho line,” W. Elliott (14yds) and R. Bruce. (11yds) tied for first place, both registering possibles. W. Elliott broke 14 with tho first barrel ami U. Bruce 13. J. Paterson (14yds land .1. K. Begg (13yds) were next with 14 breaks each. Other scores were as follows:—E. P. Graham (20yds), G. E. Turner (18yds), R. Graham (11yds). and ■I. Stoddart (11yds) 13, J. Stiven (15yds) and D. M'Lood (11yds) 12, P. K. Wood (12yds) and W. Movland (12yds) 11. A round of skect was hold next (25 targets, each break vomiting 4). The following were tho results: —K. P. Graham, 92 (8), 1.00: C. M. Greensiade, 72 (25), 97; J. Stoddart, 72 (25), 97: G. E. Turner, 84 (15), 95; S. F. A burn, 68 (25). 93: R. Bruce, 68 (25), 93: R.
