QUIET BUT FIRM Another quiet morning on the Dunedin Stock Exchange this morning saw quotations for the most part unchanged. In Government loans only those issues which have been steadily sought were inquired for, and the only seller was of 1946-49 Stock. The 1952-55 Stock was reported sold, as was the 34 per cent. 1957-60 issue, known as the National Development Loan. Banas were fairly steady, and Nationals changed hands at £1 19s. New Zealand Insurances wore in strong demand, but there was no response, while Nationals and Standards were also asked for. Bids for paid-up Zealand Kefrigeratings rose slightly, but South Otagos eased in the absence of offers. A seller of Coles came forward, and bids were 4s away. There were inquiries for other lines in the miscellaneous section, although late rates prevailed and offers were few. Sydney Woolworths were not quoted. A purchaser of Dominion Breweries was offering £1 10s. In Australian mining Electrolytic Zinc ordinary were weaker, and North Broken Hill were weaker on buyers’ quotation, SALES REPORTED. —This Morning.— National Bank of New Zealand, £1 19s. AUCKLAND HARBOUR BOARD The Auckland Harbour Board is issuing £200,000 worth of debentures at 3i per cent, for 30 years. The money will be used principally in the construction of an up-to-date export wharf.
