"COMFORTS FOR FIGHTERS"
BANK CARNIVAL. The Old King’s Theatre building was a scene of activity this morning, when workmen were engaged in converting it into a temporary playground preparatory to the opening of the carnival which is to be held on behalf of the “ Comforts for Fighters f Fund June appeal by the combined staffs of the city trading banks. Admission to the building will be free for the duration, which will embrace Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights of this week. Kaffles, games of skill, and other sideshows will be in evidence, and there will be refreshment stalls. Practically the whole of . the attraction! which formed part of the recent “ All Sports ” Carnival in the Garrison Hall will be housed in the King’s Theatre.
