(Received April 17, at 1 p.m.) The latest reports of yesterday’s earthquake indicate a disturbance oyer a wide area at Colima and, 275 miles to the west. Mexico City suffered the severest damage. It is estimated that 15,000 people are homeless and that many are dead or were injured. Colima volcano erupted again, causing forest fires. Heavy casualties and destruction are feared in several other towns.
