DISPOSITION OF STALLS NEARLY 48,000 SYMBOLS FOR DISTRIBUTION The Poppy Day Committee of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, under the chairmanship of Mr A. Duncan, has completed all arrangements for tomorrow’s sale of poppies, and these will be on sale from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. As usual, poppies will be sold in the city from street stalls and by means of suburban house-to-house canvasses, carried ont by special groups in the various localities. In some of the districts as many as 65 workers will be engaged in the sale of the symbol of remembrance. In all, 47",500 small size and 200 large size poppies have been prepared for distribution throughout the province. The district under the control of the Dunedin Association stretches from Clinton to Palmerston, and embraces the whole of Central' Otago, with the exception of Queenstown (which comes into the Southland area), as far distant as the Haast Pass.
