—Ministerial.— The Prime Minister, the Bt. Hon. P. Fraser, proposes making a visit to the South Island before he leaves for England at the invitation of Mr Winston Churchill. The Minister of National Service, the Hon. 11. Semple, will visit Christchurch to attend a military demonstration on April 26. Mr D. G. Mowat, of the Government Housing Department, has returned to Wellington. Major A. B. Sievwright, New Zealand Army Legal Department, has been appointed legal staff officer of the Central Military District. A Press Association cable message from Loudon states that Sir lan Colquhoun has been appointed Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
