PREMIER FOR ENGLAND
FUNCTION IN HIS HONOUR PRESENTATION FROM PARTY [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 15. The Prime Minister, the (Et. Hon. P. Fraser, who is leaving soon for Great Britain, attended a concert in his honour in the Town Hall to-night. Tho national president of the Labour Party, Kir James Roberts, the Minister of Finance, Mr Nash, the Minister of National Service, Mr Semple, and tho Minister of Lands, Kir Langstone, expressed the confidence of the party and the Government in Mr Fraser, and wished him a successful trip and a safe return. Kir Fraser was presented with a leather travelling bag and two framed National Savings certificates valued at £2O. The Labour Party and, indeed, the people of Now Zealand, Mr Roberts said, were fortunate in having in Mr Fraser such a worthy successor to the late Prime Minister, Mr Savage. Mr Fraser and his Government had during a difficult period not only maintained the living standards of the people and protected the freedom of every man and woman, hut had also helped the British Commonwealth with all the resources at their command in tho fight against aggression and dictatorship.
