When tho field settled down Bantas was in charge from Silver Choir and Royal Chorus, and as they rounded the far turn Bantas was racing well clear of Music Hall, Irish Queen, Nihilist, and Gold Robe. Bantas w r as still in charge at the home turn from Music Hall, Irish Queen, Royal Chorus, and Nihilist. At the distance the favourite got clear, and catching Bantas op'posito tho stand boat him home by a length. Royal Chorus was three lengths away third, just in front of Big Joe, Nihil, and Gold Robe. Bellond, Aidus, Bunny Dell, Oregon, and Lochiel’s Pride were in charge racing past tho stand, and there, was no change in this order going to tho back. Sunny Doll joined Bellond in tho load at the far turn, where Aidus, Oregon, and Lochiel’s Pride wore next. Fransol ran up racing ■across the top and led into the straight, from Irish Guy and Oregon. This trio singled themselves out in the run home, and in a good finish Oregon won by threequarters of a length, with a similar'distaca'tu Irish Guy. Then there wore big ■gaps to Fenolla, Nancy Guy/ and Brown Oloud. Secret Flight (1,008-688), Boswell (694623), Royal Lancer (552-634), Anglo-Irish. The last-named led across the top, and was first into the straight from Lucky Feather, Confidant, and Islay Downs. Gnohiil held his advantage to a stride from the post, where Lucky Feather, wide out, just got up to beat him by a short head. Aspire finished fast on the rails another head away third, a neck in front of Confidant. Then Attire ran up to Surcoat, but at the second fence of the brush double fell, leaving the favourite with a commanding lead from Corhan and Gay Boa.
