SECOND LAST SERIES TWO CENTURIES MADE The ideal playing conditions which have prevailed practically throughout the entire season changed nn Saturday, there being a slight drizzle throughout the afternoon, and consequently play for the greater part provided little excitement for the bowlers. Among the. batsmen, however, such favourable opportunities for heavy scoring were in a number of cases pul to good effect. The series was begun with Old Boys one point ahead of Carisbrook B and Albion-Y.M.CA., and three points ahead of Grange and Kaikorai. GOOD DAY FOR CARISBROOK B GEARY 106 HOT OUT The fact that Carisbrook B scored 321 runs in 170 minutes speaks well for that team’s standard of play. The batting was particularly aggressive, Geary playing; attractive cricket for 145 minutes, and hitting 13 4’s and one 5.
