YOU CAN BEAT THE STOCKING SHORTAGE .. . ¥ our stockings will definitely last much longer with this simple care . Save ladders this way Never put on stockings that have already had one wearing. They’ve lost their elasticity. You have to suspender them up tighter, and then, at the first sudden strain, snap goes a ladder! A quick Lux dip after each wearing restores elasticity. Threads can take strain again—and stockings fit smoother, too. Save foot holes this way, Don't leave stockings overnight with perspiration still in them. Even in cool weather, perspiration acids are absorbed by your stockings. Left in, they'll rot the threads^—shoe pressure will soon cause foot holes.
