GORGE HIGHWAY
QUICK RESTORATION [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 21. “ Both lanes of the Ngahanranga Gorge highway will be open for traffic to-morrow.” said the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, today. “ Excellent progress has been made by the staff of my department with the restoration of the severe washout that took place some days ago, and I would like to pay a tribute to their fine efforts. The men engaged have worked long hours in order to make the roadway usable by traffic.
