WEDDINGS
HARDING—WARD. On (ho evening of February P, at Knox Church, the nodding was solemnised of lan William, second son of Mr and Mrs(J. AV. Harding, of Maori Hill, Dunedin, and Julian Laird, eldest daughter of Mr 1C Ward, of Pnkcuri, axid'tbe late Mrs AA’ard. The Rev. 1). 0. Herron officiated, and Mr C. 1C Spackman presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a model gown of cream georgette over taffeta. the train of which was edged with (lowers. She wore a beautiful veil, held in place by a spray of arum lilies. The sheaf which she carried was of carnations and lilies. She was attended by her sister, Miss Rosie AAhird. and Miss .Joy Harding (sister of the bridegroom). 'Hie bridesmaids wore attired in powder-bine taffeta frocks designed in the Victorian stvlc. with which they wore blue mittens to the elbow, and blue sprays in their hair. Their sheafs were of pink carnations and sweet peas. Tho bridegroom was attended hv Mr V. Laws as best man, and Mr 1C Ward (brother of the bride) ns groomsman, Mr 1). Robb (of Roxburgh) and Mr Winter acted as ushers. The reception was bold in the Crawford Lounge, whore the guests were received by tho bride’s aunt, Miss T. Richardson, of Mataura, who was attired in a London tan costume and wore a sprav of lemon roses. She was assisted hy Mrs Harding, who was gowned in navy georgette, with which she wore a. fur cape. Her bouquet was of pink carnations ami sweet pens. ’When the ha.pny eon pie left for AVanaka. the bride wore a teal costume with black accessories and a grov fox fur.
