ST. KILDA AFFAIRS
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING OF COUNCIL The fortnightly meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council was held last night, the deputy-mayor (Or N. D. Anderson) presiding. The others present were Crs W. Rutherford, J. H, Hinton, T. B. D. Roy, W. J. Lovell, and H. H. Johnson. For the period ended November 25, 10 drivers’ licenses were issued, according to the report of the inspector (Mr F. T. de Largey). Among other matters requiring Ins attention, the plumber (Mr A. N. Shepperd) reported having repaired 17 water bursts in the period ending November 20. A report covering the fortnight ended November 22 was presented bv the foreman (Mr J. C. Clyma).
Accounts amounting to £1,064 Is 5d were passed for payment. Receipts amounted to £328 13s Bd, and the bank balance was advised as standing at credit £3,423 10s Id. Water consumption for tho fortnight was 3,010,000 gallons, at a cost of £ll9 2s lid. For the previous fortnight the cost was £122 6s 3d,
