CANNON INTO TRAM AND CAR [Pee United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 2G. Colliding with a tramcar, and cannoning into a small car and then failing to stop may prove costly to Thomas Leslie Leipst, aged 42, a company manager, it was stated in tho Supreme Court. The damage to the other car was £4 7s 6d, to the tram £l3 11s 6d, and it is understood the repairs to tho car he was driving would be £SO 18s, tlie insurance policy being suspended when the ear was used for private purposes. - _ ’The Chief Justice (Sir Michael Mi •ers) fined Leipst £lO and costs £2 7s Bd. He also cancelled his license and ordered that another be not issued during the first six months of the next licensing period. His Honour said ho took into account the fact that a charge of negligent driving was pending.
