COMMUNITY SING
The 1940 community sing season will be brought to a close on November 26 in the Town Hall. The proceeds will bo devoted to the air raid distress relief fund. Donations may be forwarded to Mr J. F. Hamburg at Begg’s, and they will bo acknowledged over the air. An excellent programme will include Miss Margaret Pratt, Miss Muriel Caddie’s piano-accordion band, assisted by Messrs A. Robertson, A. Jones, and F. While, and Begg’s Orchestra. A largo dark red table cover, a gilted crown in the form of a brooch, bridal set bouquets, and a large picture, ‘ Winding Dee/ will be for sale. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will bo leader and Mr Alf. Pettitt pianist. Invitations have been sent to soldiers in the various camps.
