The dives for intermediate girls would. be as set oue by Otago, with the exception-that the pike dive with half-screw was replaced by a backward spring forward dive. ■ The dive* for junior girls would remain as originally, set. The committee expressed the opinion that two classes were not required, and that it did not think the necessary amendment to the rules to permit of a plain diving championship would be agreed to by> council or centres. It recommended that fop this season the Taranaki Centre be asked to include on its programme an open plain scratch dive for ladies.—The report wa» adopted. On the suggestion of Mr D.r F. Watson, it was decided to write to the secondary, schools, outlining the possibilities of school teams taking part in a water polo competition to be arranged on a basis to suit themselves, the aim being to maintain Interest in the game during the, war period. It was suggested by Mr W. Curry that the centre might, on behalf of all the clubs, offer facilities for free membership to all British children arriving in Dunedin, and a motion to this effect was carried. , A motion, notice of which had been given by Mr E, Sonntag, wa% carried,' discontinuing the payment of capitation fees by the metropolitan clubs.
