PIGEON RACING
YEARLING DERBY The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew its Yearling Derby on Saturday from Parnassus. The stationmaster liberated 82 bird* from 14 lofts in light rain, with no wind, and the birds made a good flight, the win* ning bird flying the 265 miles in 6h ISrain, Result, in yards per minute:—J. Scoular’s Rena, 1,236, 1; H. Millard’s Queen May, I, 2; J. Ramsay’s Billy Boy, 1,234.9, 3; J. Taylor’s Belmonte, 1,233.7, 4; M. Ander. son’s Southern Chief, 1,227.9, 5; A, Gooda man’s Lynnette, 1,227.6, 6. The club will fly the Albert Stevenson Memorial Cup race from Napier, 554 miles,’ next Saturday
